Connecting your UNI to another RTK network
Your UNI needs correction data to reach centimetre accuracy. That data comes from an RTK network over NTRIP. If you want to use a different provider than the one currently configured, you set this up in UNI-Connect, the configuration page that runs on the UNI itself.
You do not install UNI-Connect. Every UNI broadcasts its own WiFi hotspot, and UNI-Connect is the web page you reach once you are connected to it. Any browser works, on a phone, tablet or laptop.
Have your RTK provider credentials ready before you start: address, port, username, password and mountpoint.
Step 1: Connect to the WiFi of your UNI
Turn the UNI on and wait until it has started up.
On your phone, tablet or laptop, open your WiFi list and select the hotspot of the UNI you want to configure. The password is:

If you have more than one UNI switched on, check the serial number on the device so you connect to the right one.
Your device may warn you that this network has no internet. That is expected. The hotspot only gives you access to the UNI, not to the internet.
Step 2: Open the configuration page
Open a browser and type the following in the address bar:
192.168.27.1
This is the fixed address of UNI-Connect on every UNI. Type it as a plain address, not as a search term. Some browsers will try to search for it otherwise.
You now see the UNI-Connect home page, with the live status of that specific unit: position, satellites, fix status and the software version it is running.

Step 3: Go to Location settings
Open the menu with the three stripes in the top left corner and choose Location settings.
This page shows how the UNI is configured right now. To change anything, click Edit.
What you see on the edit page
The edit page is built as a chain. Each choice you make decides which options appear below it, so work from top to bottom.
UNI Mode
For connecting to an RTK network, choose Moving Rover.

Positioning Mode
How accurate the position needs to be.
Choose Real-time Kinematic. This is what enables the correction options underneath. Without RTK you get a standalone GNSS position, accurate to metres instead of centimetres.

Correction Mode
Where the corrections come from.
- NTRIP: over the internet, from an RTK provider or from a caster. This is the normal choice.
- Radio: over a radio link from your own base, without internet.
Choose NTRIP.

NTRIP settings
This is where your provider credentials go. Your provider supplies all of these.

| Port | The port the server listens on. Often 2101 or 80. Your provider states which one. |
| Username | Your account with the RTK provider. Not your UNI-Cloud login. |

| Mountpoint | The specific correction stream you want. A provider usually offers several. |
After filling in address, port, username and password, press Search. The UNI contacts the server and retrieves the list of available mountpoints. Choose yours from that list rather than typing it, so you avoid spelling mistakes.
If the search returns nothing, the address, port or credentials are wrong, or the UNI has no internet connection.
Then press Test connection. Give it a few seconds. This confirms the UNI can actually reach the stream and receive corrections, before you take it into the field.

Where the UNI sends its position.
- Bluetooth: to a tablet or controller running your survey software. This is the usual choice for surveying.
Step 4: Save
Click Save location settings at the bottom. The UNI applies the new configuration.
Go back to the home page and check the fix status. Once the UNI has a connection to the network and enough satellites, it reports an RTK fix. That is your confirmation that everything works.
If it does not connect
- No mountpoints after Search. Check the address and port for typos, and check that the credentials are the ones for the RTK network, not for UNI-Cloud.
- Mountpoints appear but Test connection fails. Your account may not have access to that particular mountpoint, or the subscription is not active.
- Connection works but no RTK fix. Check the satellite count and your surroundings. Corrections do not help if the UNI cannot see enough sky.
- The page at 192.168.27.1 does not load. Confirm you are still on the WiFi of the UNI. Phones sometimes drop back to mobile data because the hotspot has no internet.
