Using the marXact NTRIP Caster
Setting up a base and a rover to use the UNICaster for handling RTCM3 correction streaming doesn’t really differ from setting up another caster. In this document you will see how to set up the base or the rover side.
- At this moment, the UNI-Caster only supports NTRIP v2.
- This document only shows how to connect a UNI-GRX as a base or rover, other brands should however work in case they support NTRIP v2.
Setting up the server side (Base)
In order to setup the base, follow these steps:
- Open UNI-Connect
- Head to settings and then to Location on the sidebar.
- Set the UNI to Static Base.
- Then select a mode to set the base position, by adding the exact Coordinates or Single Averaging.
- Then head to the next section and select NTRIP.
- In the following section you may see a form to provide the NTRIP Server settings. The NTRIP Server settings form should now show
- Fill the details of the base like in the picture above. You can here determine your own username, password and mountpoint. The port and IP needs to be alike below.
Username: test Password: test IP: ntrip.marxact.com Port: 80 MountPoint: TESTUNI
- Now, under Output Format Options , select MSMS TYPE 7
- Then click Save and that’s it!
Setting up the client side (Rover)
In order to setup the rover, follow these steps:
- Open UNI-Connect
- Head to settings and then to Location on the sidebar.
- Set the UNI to Moving Rover.
- Select Real-Time Kinematic.
- Then head to the next section and select NTRIP.
- In the following section you may see a form to provide the NTRIP settings. The NTRIP Server settings form should now show:
- Fill the details of the rover account like in the picture above. These are the credentials you have created on the base side.
Username: test Password: test IP: ntrip.marxact.com Port: 80 MountPoint: TESTUNI
Then you can save the profile and try out the connection!
