Where can I get UNI-Collect?

UNI-Collect is our new surveying app that will replace the surveying in UNI-Connect. All new functionalities, fixes and features will be implemented in the UNI-Collect app and will make surveying even easier than ever before.

So, what's new?

Many things have improved or have been slightly adapted to make UNI-Collect the easiest surveying tool out there. Not only does the app work faster and smoother than connect, it also brings new features and possibilities with it! Since you were already used to working in UNI-Connect, we won't go over the basics or what everything means. So to kick it off, one of the new (most requested) feature:

Connecting to your UNI

We have also tried to simplify connecting to your UNI. Searching for the UNI and connecting to it has been made easier within UNI-Collect. When you press the location icon on the top-right corner in UNI-Collect, you can see which location is being used, either from the tablet, a UNI or a different device through Bluetooth. When you want to connect to your UNI, you simply click on "UNI" in that tab and it will bring up the list of nearby UNI's. If you have already been connected to that UNI in the past, it will automatically connect it and you are ready to go.

If you have never connected the UNI and the tablet before, it will bring you to the WiFi settings of the tablet, where you can connect the tablet to the WiFi of the UNI. It will ask you for a password and this is the same for all UNI's; marxact-uni (all lower case letters).

Tilt functionality

It's finally here, please contain your excitemend! Yes, we have implemented the tilt-functionality in combination with the "new" UNI-GR2's and UNI-Collect. When you open your project, you can press the button that displays your accuracy in the top-left corner of the map.

This will bring up all the information regarding your accuracy, now you can go to the "tilt" tab and press "start tilt". Then you need to wait a few seconds for the status to change to "calibration - moving", when that happens, you can tilt the UNI forward, backward and side-to-side slowly until it says "OK- converge". That's it, you're ready to go and you no longer have to look if your measuring pole is up straight!

Manual synchronisation

Have you ever had a situation where you were waiting for a synchronisation to start so that you can start working on your prepared project. Well, we have and so we simplified it!

When you want to synchronize your projects to and from the cloud, press the cloud-icon on the top-left of the screen. This will open up the tab to synchronize the data between UNI-Collect and the UNI-Cloud. Whenever you want to start working and need to collect the information from the cloud or when you are finished and want to send the data to the cloud, just press the synchronization button, and presto! This ensures that the synchronisation will happen when you want it to happen!
