How do I survey with Tilt?
To survey with Tilt, you will first need to calibrate Tilt on your UNI-GR2. Follow these simple steps to ensure your UNI-GR2 is properly calibrated for Tilt compensation.
Open Your Project in UNI-Collect
Start by opening your project in the UNI-Collect app, make sure you are connected to a UNI-GR2 with RTK FIX.
Next, tap on the position bar.
The option "Tilt" will appear. Tap on “Tilt”.
Start Tilt Calibration
Tap the "Start Tilt" button to start calibrating tilt compensation.
You may notice the status displaying as "Calibrating - Static". If this occurs, keep the pole in a fixed position until the status changes to "Calibrating - Moving".
When the status shows "Calibrating - Moving", move the pole five times back and forth, in straight lines. Then move the pole from the left to the right. Make sure the tip of the pole stays at the same spot on the ground. Repeat this until you get the "OK - Convergence" status.
Once the status turns into "OK - Convergence", you can start surveying with tilt compensation. Please note: convergence will only be reached if the correct pole height is set in your project settings.
